Cologne, Germany, 6 July 2010 – sonoro elements radio is on display at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China from now to 31 Oct, 2010. The product was chosen to represent excellence in German design and innovation. The selection first came about after receiving high honors from the Federal Republic of Germany who nominated elements earlier this year for its Designpreis. This distinction, in itself, is Germany’s highest honor and is considered the ‘Prize of Prizes.’  Now, sonoro elements design radio is highlighted on the world’s stage in Shanghai.  

 

For 150 years, World Expos (also known as World Fairs) have been created to “promote the exchange of ideas and development of the world economy, culture, science and technology, to allow exhibitors to publicize and display their achievements and improve international relationships. “They are considered the “Olympic Games of the economy, science and technology.”[i]

 

“We are thrilled to be chosen by the German government and to have our elements design radio included in World Expo 2010 in Shanghai” said Marcell Faller, founder and CEO of sonoro audio. “sonoro accolades have reached an all time high with this honor.”

 

The theme of Expo 2010 is "’Better City, Better Life,’ representing the common wish of the whole humankind for better living in future urban environments. The main attractions at these fairs are the national pavilions, created by participating countries.”  The Shanghai Expo is expected to attract 70 million visitors from around the world. [ii]

 

The elements radio is also the recipient of two internationally-renown design and consumer electronic awards, including the 2008 reddot design award and the Plus X award for design.
